Helsby men’s team have won the winter Borders League. The league has been running for 42 years now with a series of road races open to all member clubs in the west Cheshire and north Wales areas, held over the winter season. The men last lifted the trophy a full 24 years ago, dating back to glory years many felt were long gone. The last few years has seen a steady rise in both quality and depth within the club. Long may it continue.
Chasing hard are the fast improving women, who finished 4th in their own league. Other great results were Rhys Bowden, 1st overall U20 and Mark Gittins best V45, plus a small handful of 2nd 3rds age categories. Nice!
