Widnes Park Run (road race 4)
There were 11 Helsby members recorded in the Widnes Parkrun results on Saturday, which was our 4th road race counter. If you ran and are not showing in the Parkrun results, probably because you don’t have Helsby recorded as your club with Parkrun, then drop Mike Fryer a line so he can make sure you are included in the Club Counter results. Well done everyone who turned out on Saturday!
Northern Athletics U17/U15/U13 Championships
Tim and Jenny spent the weekend volunteering as technical officials at the Northern Athletics U17/U15/U13 Championships in Middlesbrough. Two days of youngsters running very fast, jumping a long way or a great height, or throwing things a long way – it was great to be involved in. The standards are high with some championship records being held by athletes who compete on the world stage such as Katrina Johnson-Thompson and Keeley Hodgkinson. Cilcain Mountain Race (fell race 7)

The race organiser is asking for people to try and pre enter for the Cilcain race on 28th August, but has said there will still be entries on the day.
