Great Warford 10 Mile Race – Sunday 16th August 2009 10am Start
Start, Finish and Car Parking are all within the grounds of ‘The David Lewis Centre’, Mill Lane, Great Warford SK9 7UD.
Great Warford village is approximately halfway between Alderley Edge and Knutsford. The ‘David Lewis Centre’ is signposted from the A535 (Alderley Edge to Chelford) road and A537 (Knutsford to Chelford) road.
There will be prizes for the first five men/women, all veteran categories and 1st men/ladies team (3 to count). Prizegiving will be as soon as possible after the race. All profits from the race will be donated to the ‘David Lewis Centre’. ‘Red Cross’ will be providing First Aid facilities.
You will need to collect your race number between 8.30am and 9.55am from the enquiry desk at The David Lewis Centre before the race.
The course is an accurately measured 10 miles on country lanes, consisting of a small lap of approx 2 miles followed by two laps of approximately 4 miles. A short distance at the start and finish is within the grounds of The David Lewis Centre. There will be water stations just before 3 miles and 7 miles. Results will be displayed after the race and will be posted on the websites www.wilmslowrunningclub.org and www.ukresults.net

In addition to the toilet facilities at The David Lewis Centre, the licensee of the nearby ‘Stags Head’ Public House has kindly agreed to provide additional toilet facilities for competitors and will also be serving bacon butties to spectators from 9am.
