Helsby Running Club Useful Info
Helsby Running Club is located on the western edge of the village of Helsby in Cheshire. Approaching from junction 12 on
the M56 following the A56 to Helsby and Frodsham. On entering the village (you will see the Helsby sign) there is a petrol
station on your right and green railings on your left. About 100m after the petrol station the entrance to the club car
park will be on your left. Approaching from Frodsham along the A56 the car park is on your right (stating the
bleeding obvious there or what?) about 400m after the lights next to the new Tescos
The club meet at 6:30 on Wednesday nights so why don't you come along and give it a go ? After all what have you got to lose ?
And don't worry about your ability. Club members range from the annoying good 5 min milers to the more human 10 mins +
milers.
It is commonly agreed that summer is the best time to run as with the light evenings our routes usually take in Helsby or
Frosham hills, or both depending on how suicidal people feel that night. Then after the run its back to the bar for the
reason a lot of us run, yes so we can drink beer and not feel guilty !!!
